What makes the "Bridge to Life" global vision unique?
We focus on training national leaders God is already raising up. An important part of our calling is to bring emerging camp leaders to Alliance Redwoods for specialized training in what we do best; Christian Hospitality!

In the winter of 2008, we hosted two camp leaders from Russia, Anya and Alesya who stayed at Alliance Redwoods for three months learning best practices to take back home. In their words; "God gave us a tremendous hands-on experience at Alliance Redwoods…. He equipped us with new skills, inspired us with new ideas, and refined our vision in order to make our camping ministry in Russia more productive."

In the summer 2008, South Africans Warren and Mynhardt joined our staff for intensive training. They work at Camp Wortelgat, near Hermanus on the Indian Ocean.

Alvinia who is studying to be a teacher in South Africa joined our team during the summer of 2009. In her own words: "When I came across that bridge another part of my life changed. When God touches your life, it will never be the same and that's what happened to me. Through this experience I hope to give a new hope to South African children."

Sandy joined us for the summer of 2009. She is from Germany and came here to experience hands-on camp ministry to determine if this was the direction God was calling her.

For the summer of 2010, Ben joined us from
Scotland
He came over to see what Christian camping looked like in the United States.

The summer of 2010, also saw three South Africans join our team. Lunel and Roxy work at our Camp South Africa partnership camp, Camp Wortelgat. Geoffrey came as well from South Africa. He was one of the Camp South Africa counselors in 2009.
